Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic agent, manufactured to USP grade and offered in 5 ml and 10 ml vials. It is the standard diluent for reconstituting lyophilized research peptides before in-vitro work: the preservative limits bacterial growth in a vial that is accessed repeatedly over the course of an experiment, helping preserve sample integrity between preparations.
